Villa Savoye is deisgned as a country house, it addressed "The five points" :
- The pilots (ground-level supporting columns)
- A flat roof terrace ( reclaims the area of the building site for domestic purposes)
- The free plan (elimination of load-bearing walls)
- Horizontal windows (even illumination and ventilation)
- The freely-designed facade (consists of a thin skin of wall and windows)
MODEL
Instead of doing a sectional model, my partner and I decided to take off parts of the building. In order to show the most of it without destorying the important elements.
The ramp is the most important element which allow people to experience the whole building by movement. By moving up the ramp , people can visually experience the spaces. Act as a camera filming the spaces.
Columns are te most important structural elements in Villa Savoye.
